Heyo! I’m in Costa Rica! That’s right!

I have now been living in Costa Rica just over a week and it has been more than I ever could have imagined. The community, food, views, church, and culture are just a few of my favorite parts.

I am living in a church in Turrialba, Costa Rica, we eat, sleep, and hangout all in the same little room it’s a lot of fun! Our amazing host is Armando, then we also have a little cooking crew and workers that both generously help us out a lot! The cooking crew is so passionate about us experiencing all Costa Rican food. So, along with the variety of breakfast, lunch, and supper we eat each day, we also have a fruit break and a cookie/coffee break each day. I can’t say it enough, we are so so blessed!

Ministry here at the church has incorporated a lot of labor work (which the weather is absolutely perfect for!). We have so far poured a sidewalk and built a roof, we are currently working on priming/painting the church, and also making a parking lot!

Since I have gotten here, my prayer has been for God to help me see things through his eyes. He has brought a greater light on how I see nature, animals, all the little things, but most of all his people.

We are a people who…

are his children,

he sings praises and dances over,

his handcrafted creation,

are loved with the most powerful love,

were worth dying for,

fall and he picks them back up,

mess up and he loves them just the same,

he knows will never be perfect but his loves us anyway,

he desires for us to spend every moment of our lives with,

have an eternal father that we don’t have to seek approval or acceptance from.

I have been sitting and soaking in those words and it has brought so much love and peace. He is the same yesterday, today, tomorrow, and forever. This is how he has seen us, does see us, and forever will see us. His children. So loved.

Don’t forget to stop and sit in his love. Seek to see things through his perspective. He is a loving father!
