Hi everyone!
This past week I arrived at the AIM base in Georgia and began training camp. Training camp has been so fun and so jam packed full of information. What happened in training camp includes(but is not limited to)…
– sitting through sessions
– worshiping
– eating new food
– met my squad(which is some of the most kind and gracious people ever!)
– a big sleep over with 30 people
– using porta potties in the dark(and cold)
– getting covid tested
– team building
– dance parties
– showering in a storage unit
– lots & lots of time in the Word!
Although all of those have been loads of fun, my favorite part of training camp have been learning and studying “the cave, the road, and the table”.
“The Cave” being the secret place, where you might hear and speak to the Lord more intimately. This is also where you can grow your relationship and learn more about him!
“The Road” being our mission, a riskful and defining part of our lives. When you are on the mission to be a disciple of the Lord, you have to continually make yourself available and be interruptible. Constantly asking yourself, “Do I give myself to this moment?”.
“The Table” which is community. In this you are continuously making room for Jesus and others, where you are sharing your lives, questions, and conversation. Another good way to think of this is reflect, remember, and relate with each other. While at the table you are making a commitment to community.
This was just a little nugget of info I got out of one session of the many I have been through this week! The Lord is so good and faithful!
Another important announcement! We leave for Nicaragua tomorrow! After all of the waiting to come to Georgia and now knowing that I fly out in less than 24 hours is so exciting!
I challenge you to seek out the way the Lord is good and faithful to you!
Oh Sara!! I am so excited for ALL that God has planned for you and your squad and those that you will minister God’s love to! Thank you for sharing your journey with us! Praying for you all! May God bless you and protect you and shine His face upon you and bring you peace in the name of Jesus and for God’s glory and kingdom. Amen! So be it!
